How I Met The Lord In the Local Church
I grew up in America, yet I knew very little about God and Jesus. My father was Jewish by birth and out of respect we did not talk about the things related Jesus. However, from an early age I can remember having a soft heart and curiosity about the things of God and Jesus.
When I was 12 years old I met a family that had recently become Christians and met with the local church. The change in their lives was noticed by the whole neighborhood. I began babysitting for them and soon became very attracted by what I saw of their living.
It was through this family, years later, that I found myself in a Bible study. That night I prayed and met God in a very definite way. I began meeting weekly with these members of the local church and from that very first night something deep within me has felt and known I was home. The Lord has continued day after day, year after year, to become more real to me and to grow in me.
