The Church in Seattle

Watchman Nee was a brother who saw many truths in the Bible particularly the truth concerning the church. In the Bible there are over 250 mentions of the word “church” in the New Testament and they all follow a certain pattern one church in one city. For example John, in the Book of Revelation in Chapter 1 verse 11, wrote to the seven churches and then mentions seven cities. This is the pattern we who meet with the local churches follow.

My experience has been that in the meetings of the church the Bible is open to me. The divine revelation from the pure Word of God is both uplifting and spiritually nourishing. It is in this place, when I enter the Lord’s presence, that all the earthly cares seem to just fade away. I need to be fed spiritually and this is the place I come to be fed. I come and am immersed in His presence. This is the best way I have found to prepare for Christ’s return.
